Hi guys, bit of a downer announcement.

Currently dealing with a massive amount of crap in my life and not only that, I’ve been losing interest in continuing ShinVerse. The past few months have been a bit rough and I’ve been feeling like the Shin MonsterVerse is becoming more of a chore or a job rather than something I want to do in my spare time. Hence why I was experimenting with writing but I don’t enjoy it as much. I may just delete a few of the newer entries and have Ririn's death/ FinalGoji's birth be the final entry.

It’s also been a lot harder because I have to constantly address misinformation about the series, people misunderstanding or trying to hijack the series with their own ideas and people taking stuff out of context from the discord and other places. I’m also considering shutting down Patreon and only having it to support other creators. It’s never really been that great, I don’t really have exclusive stuff I could put on there and with my life getting so busy, I’m struggling to even do stuff I want to anymore.

I may just do the same thing I did last year and take a break for a few months then return to it. I’m definitely not happy with a lot of the latest entries like MireGoji. But for now, I’m done with the Shin MonsterVerse. It may come back. It may not.

A few details on Ririn during his years as a powerful King of the Space Monsters which I had plans to flesh out during VOL2 of ShinVerse but fell through because they didn’t really fit with the narrative.

Ririn was a conqueror who ruled with an iron fist but he was generally a fair ruler and would only lash out a few times. His illness was never something he constantly agonised over, it was more of an issue that only ever reared its head every so often.

He was charismatic and intelligent, able to win others over with his personality or by talking with them, only resorting to violence and threats if he didn’t get his way. Kinda wished I’d shown Ririn in his prime as the dude was a mother flipping stud (dude wore a cape and sweet talked Gigan into saving his life).

I never expected Ririn to be as well liked as he was and the response to his death on DA and discord was mind blowing to me.

I might do little episodes of Ririn in his prime when he was out conquering words, hanging out with Gigan, Orga and Mechagodzilla, playing tricks on Ultras, or even fighting Ghidorah’s, which he did occasionally. Whether these are gonna be art or prose is another thing though.

As of writing, Ririn’s story isn't quite over but after this arc, we’ll be focusing more on Legendary and his shenanigans because Shin deserves a good sleep after everything.

It's been a while since I updated stuff on DeviantArt. Eclipse is still awful and I avoid Deviantart because of it. A large majority of my art isn't posted here so follow me here if you want extra ShinVerse stuff:

Volume 2 or "the SpaceGodzilla Arc" of ShinMonsterMerse is coming to a close. After which there will be a break in which Kaiju and characters requested by my Patrons (of any Tier) will be choosing the Kaiju before we start Volume 3.

Volume 3 will be a lot more focused on Legendary, his Ghidorah and that 'Red Death' Ririn warned about as well as other new Characters introduced at the end of Vol 2.

I also plan be doing some fun stuff on TWITTER, DISCORD and INSTAGRAM with the ShinMonsterverse for Monster March in which you'll see a different side to characters like Ririn, Jet, Ultramonsters etc… some things I can't really do on static profiles. None of this stuff will be posted to DeviantArt as it's a horrendous platform to display this stuff.

Things like displaying Ririn and Legendary's more mischievous antics (like the little sketch here), Shin doing weird Shin things and other characters who never really got a profile such as Hedorah and Jatar.

There's even a channel where you can ask ShinVerse characters like Ririn, Shin, Legendary and King Kong questions. Though be warned, Ririn will probably mock you and Shin will insult you for being a human.
