aw now this is awesome i've been waiting for this confrontation and as always sec is taking the smart approach when dealing with a foe as dangerous as the Doctor, love the colouring on this page more so on the Assassin the scared side of her face is really well done

curious do you use layers when colouring?

Haha, although, they haven't really reacted to one another yet. Sec's just wathing some dickhead impulsivly drive himself head first into certain death.

Dalek Sec's biding his time and working out what makes her tick. As the Doctor does.

Yes I do use layers. I use at least 20 for a single page, depending on how busy the actual page is. For the colour one I did of yours, I used about 15.

oh wow I'd admit i use around 5 or 6 layers but i tend not to go into any major detail with my work I'm a bit lacking in that department

Layers are there to make life easier^^
On actual paintings I use more, at least 20-30 depending on how detail and luminosity, special effects that I have.

and i just have problems with my lighting and shading effects aka burn/lighten :XD:

I don't use lighten and burn for special effects in my work anymore. It ruins the colours of the artwork in my work. But yeah, layers are good once you get your head around them.

indeed i've been aiming to stop using the burn and lighting stuff in order to take full advantage of the layers

Yeah, and they always used to make my art work look metallic.
I only use doage and burn techniques for metal objects, but only on very fine detail like highlights
